Why am I not surprised that a bunch of white people don’t see racial segregation as a serious or pertinent issue? Examine your privilege.
The real privilege is being able to pawn off your problems on someone else. In the mean time, ad hominem

The civil rights act thing is true. He would not have voted for it, because he has this silly idea that businesses have the right to do what they want. I know it sounds crazy, but if YOU were running a business, would YOU refuse to serve african-americans? I sure wouldn’t want to alienate my clientele like that. It just doesn’t make...

god damn there are still people who argue Ron Paul isn’t a horrible racist.
maybe…just maybe…because he isn’t racist
Ron Paul signed off on all the racist newsletters.
Ron Paul would have voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s not the reason.

George W Bush: IRAQ HAS NUKES!!!
Pentagon: It's true, they might have nukes.
Military advisers: Let's go check it out with some bombs
Boots on the ground in Iraq: There are no nukes here, what are you talking about?

Conservatives: We really like a lot of these candidates, but right now Newt Gingrich is our favorite!
Ron Paul campaign: Well you should know, this guy is really a Republican insider who took a lot of money from the fannie mae and freddie mac bailouts so really he isn't what you're looking for. Ron Paul, however, is anything but a beltway insider. He's a stringent constitutionalist which is really what conservatism is all about right?
Conservatives: Have you heard??? Mitt Romney is a really great guy who loves all the things we love!
Ron Paul campaign: It turns out he's quite the flip flopper and changes his stances on everything from foreign policy to abortion based on where he's speaking. Isn't Ron Paul worth a look? He's the most idealistically consistent congressman out there, and he's done it for decades now!
Conservatives: RICK SANTORUM HAS TO BE GOOD IF THE OTHERS WEREN'T!!! He's a real fiscal conservative right?
Ron Paul campaign: turns out he isn't much of a fiscal conservative. He doubled the size of the department of education, voted for giving foreign aid to dictators, and voted for raising the debt ceiling five times. Ron Paul on the other hand, votes in favor of true laissez faire capitalism and Austrian economics.
Conservatives: Oh...what was the deal with Romney again?
Ron Paul campaign: *facepalm*

I think the word “right” is the most misused word on tumblr.
I have returned.
Conference was an awesome experience, albeit a tiring one. It may take me a few days to recover and get my blog in order, but it will get done in the week.

So tomorrow my school's MUN conference starts.
Here’s what this means for you:
I have my queue stacked and ready to go, but it’s all reblogs, so no OC, and no commentary that isn’t pre-scripted until at least monday, perhaps Tuesday. The sad thing is, this coincides with ISFLC so for those of you who are not attending either of these events, it is going to be a pretty boring weekend on here I’m afraid. Best wishes to...

In the debate about abortion and “choice”, I have to hand it to (at least, my perception of) the porn stars who actually know how to have sex without getting pregnant.
Not exactly saying “Role model”, but then again…

Hi there. Let's talk about Whitney Houston.
Come in, sit down. I think it’s time we had a little chat. So, you heard about Whitney Houston’s passing and I understand you had some thoughts about it. That’s great to hear. Glad to hear that mass in between your ears is once again processing data, but we need to talk about what it spat out. See, I saw the picture you posted to facebook about how it’s sick that we care...

The Latest From Julian Assange.....
a-petro-manifesto:
John Pilger, a prominent writer on Julian Assange’s defense committee, is claiming that the US is working secretly to have Assange extradited, and that there’s little hope that the Australian government will intervene.
Assange is currently awaiting an appeal from the Supreme Court in London on whether or not he will be extradited to Sweden. According to Pilger, if Assange...
